As of this morning a new round of pre-photokina leaks came out, revealing 7D II specs as well as three lenses: an EF-S 24mm f/2.8 pancake, a 24-105mm f/4-5.6 STM, and a new version of the 400mm f/4 DO. Aside from the 7D II, the I find the biggest news of these upcoming annoucements is that Canon is finally addressing their complete lack of non-L EF standard zooms (as I wrote about a while ago). The new 24-105 will be the first consumer-grade lens of this category to be released by Canon in over a dozen years. Owners of full-frame bodies will finally have first-party options other than the ancient 28-135, though third parties have brought a number of excellent alternatives to the table in the last half decade.
In other news, some of you may have noticed that I haven't posted since April. The lack of posting wasn't for any specific reason, but new reviews and articles are in the pipeline and should be coming within a few weeks, time permitting.
